2. Information We Collect
We collect information required to provide our services, which includes:
- Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and billing details provided during registration.
- WhatsApp Business Data: When you connect your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), we process phone numbers, display names, message content, and media files (images, PDFs, etc.) sent or received through the API.
- AI Context Data: Data used to power our AI features, including message history provided to our AI sub-processors for generating summaries and reply suggestions.
- Usage Metadata: Information about campaign performance, messaging volumes, and system logs for troubleshooting.
3. Use of WhatsApp Business API
Brighty integrates with the WhatsApp Business API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
By using Brighty, you acknowledge that all WhatsApp data is processed in accordance with the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and Meta’s Privacy Policy.
We use this data solely to provide the "Shared Inbox," "Campaign Management," and "Automation" features of Brighty.
4. Third-Party AI Processing (Anthropic)
To provide intelligent features like "Smart Reply Suggestions" and "Conversation Summaries," Brighty utilizes the Anthropic Claude API.
- Data Sharing: Specific message content is transmitted to Anthropic for real-time processing.
- No Training: We ensure that data sent to Anthropic via their API is used only for providing the response and is not used to train their global AI models.
- User Choice: Clients can choose whether to enable or disable AI-driven features within their dashboard.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data Isolation: We implement strict multi-tenancy architecture to ensure that the data of one business is logically isolated and inaccessible to any other business on the platform.
- Storage: We use PostgreSQL 16 for database records and Cloudflare R2 for encrypted storage of media files.
- Encryption: All communication between our servers, Meta, and the user’s browser is encrypted via TLS/SSL.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: We retain message logs for a default period of 6 months to provide chat history and analytics, unless a different period is requested by the Client.
- Client Deletion: Clients may delete specific contacts or messages at any time through the Brighty dashboard.
- Account Termination: Upon termination of an account, all associated WhatsApp tokens, contact data, and message logs will be permanently deleted from our active databases within 30 days.
- Data Deletion Requests: For formal data deletion requests, please contact us at support@brightwire.in. We will process such requests in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
7. Compliance with Indian Law
As an Indian entity, Brightwire Technologies complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and other relevant Indian IT regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through an in-app notification.
